Thomas Glucksmann

About Me

I’ve spent nearly two decades living, studying, and working across the Indo-Pacific, in the languages, on the ground, across sectors, through multiple cycles of geopolitical disruption and commercial opportunity. That foundation is what Glucksmann Advisory is built on.

Glucksmann Advisory
I founded Glucksmann Advisory to fill a gap that compliance-grade due diligence, desktop research, and now LLMs consistently leave open: verified, primary-source insight and direct local access, from a region where relationships, language, and physical presence determine what you can actually know and who you can actually reach.

Through Glucksmann Advisory, headquartered in the UK, I work with international dual-use technology firms and investors across Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and select markets in Southeast Asia.

Professional Background
My career has spanned business development, product, and risk management at fintech, cybersecurity, and consultancies, including engagements with financial institutions, government agencies, and publicly listed firms, and advising global technology companies and investors on risks and opportunities across the Indo-Pacific.

Thought Leadership

I regularly share views on supply chain resilience, dual-use innovation, and cross-border technology collaboration in the Indo-Pacific through media commentary and public speaking. A selection of recent engagements is available here.

Academic Background

I hold an MA in Cyber Politics and Government from Tel Aviv University (Magna Cum Laude), where my thesis examined the evolving role of the private sector in national security; a question that has since moved from academic to policy-critical. I also hold a BA in Modern China Studies from the University of Hong Kong (First Class Honours) and security certifications including CompTIA Security+ and Cybersecurity Analyst+ (CySA+).

Languages

Native English. Full professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and French. Working knowledge of Cantonese and Hebrew.
